I am sorry but this is rather diehard change :(

It was very useful to change the image size on the fly using the x= or
y= param in the URL. The image served by the server would then be lower
in size (in kilobytes). Now this CSS hack only resizes the image
visually in the browser but the image can be huuge to get downloaded to
the browser! :(

Could we please roll this back?
